Celebrity & Chef Cooking Demonstrations
Watch with excitement as local chefs team up with local celebrities to put on tantalizing cooking demonstrations featuring rice.

2nd Annual "Riceipe" Cooking Competition
Defending his "Riceipe" Champion crown is Tokkuri-Tei's Hideaki "Santa" Miyoshi. What tasty rice dish will he be entering this year? Come on down and find out! We're also excited to have an Amateur division to showcase the chef in all of us. All chefs for the Cooking Demos and "Riceipe" competition are from Cheryl Chee Tsutsumi's new book called "The Hawaii Book of Rice".

Guinness World Record™ attempt to create the Largest SPAM® Musubi
We will attempt to set a Guinness World Record™ for the Largest SPAM® Musubi at this year's Rice Fest, weighing in at a whopping 220lbs! Come see the spectacle for yourself.

2nd Annual Da SPAM Musubi Eating Contest
Think you got what it takes to be on the next episode of Kanak vs. Food? Battle your will against other kanak attackers in Da SPAM Musubi Eating Contest. The contestant who downs the most SPAM Musubis in the shortest amount of time wins! Returning champ "Uncle Rodney" is ready to take you down!

Keiki Zone
From 10am-2pm, members of the 2011 Narcissus Festival Court will play host to a coloring contest, while Douglas Odani (balloonist), Lei Crystal Tattoos (crystal face painting and tattoos) and JMJ Gaming (video games) will be on hand to entertain the rest of the keiki for the entire day (10am-6pm).

Official Rice Donation Center
An official rice donation center will be on site to collect your generous rice donations. Bring your brown rice donations in to our non-profit partner Lanakila Meals on Wheels and your white rice donations to the Hawaii Foodbank!

All About Rice - Rice Education Booth
University of Hawaii at Manoa's Department of Human Nutrition, Food, and Animal Science educator Dr. Maria Stewart will share her current research in an interactive display entitled "Nutrition for Everybody: Learn How Rice Promotes a Healthy Body".
